About the role

The insight team’s mission is to influence Tesco to make confident decisions because we understand Customers and Colleagues better than anyone. Our key priorities are setting the customer agenda, commercialising insight, storytelling and democratising insight across the business. This is a new role offering an exciting opportunity to help build our research function within the Insight team. 

You will be responsible for

  • Helping to manage the forward workplan of the team and balance workload across the team to ensure best use of skills and resources. 
  • Help develop and use any tools necessary for the research team to operate smoothly and efficiently.
  • Manage the reporting, tracking and forecasting of our research budget. 
  • Assisting with research project management where necessary and therefore a great opportunity for a first step into a client side role for an agency researcher.

You will need

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Previous experience of managing budgets, financial forecasting 
  • A good understanding of different market research methodologies, with experience project management working in a research agency an advantage.
