As a Salesforce Developer you'll sit within the Engineering 'chapter' alongside other Developers, Administrators and Software / QA Engineers. Tesco Mobile supports customers using a central CareHub platform, built on Salesforce. The CareHub platform utilises Service Cloud and a custom implementation to deliver functionality that allows colleagues in store and our telephone support operations team to serve existing customers as part of the I Love 'tribe'. The CareHub 'squad' is comprised of Salesforce Administrators and Developers as well as other agile resources such as a Product Owner, BA, QA and others.
As a Salesforce Developer, you will be responsible for designing, coding, and implementing customized solutions within the Salesforce platform. Your expertise will contribute to the success of our organization by enhancing our Salesforce instance, particularly focusing on Service Cloud and custom implementations. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, administrators, and other developers, to deliver high-quality solutions that meet business requirements.
Develop and maintain custom applications on the Salesforce platform using Apex, Visualforce, and other technologies. Design and implement solutions for Service Cloud, including case management, knowledge base, and customer support processes. Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather and document requirements for Salesforce solutions. Create technical documentation, including user guides, release notes, and design documents. Troubleshoot and fix bugs, ensuring the stability and functionality of the application. Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers. Stay up-to-date with Salesforce best practices, new features, and industry trends.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience). Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I or equivalent certification. Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder, Salesforce Certified Service Cloud Consultant, and Salesforce Certified Administrator certifications are desirable. Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience developing on the Salesforce platform. Proficiency in Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, and SOQL. Experience with Service Cloud, including case management and knowledge base. Experience with custom integrations using REST/SOAP APIs. Strong understanding of Salesforce data model, security, and sharing settings. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently. Effective communication and collaboration skills.
