I used to work in a small company back in my home country, Slovakia and my brother in-law said I should come over and work for one of the biggest depots in Europe. It was the best decision I’ve ever made.

It’s great working for such a passionate team, I’m learning something new every day and developing my own skills operationally and with people.

And, being able to work night shifts is great, as I can easily balance my work life with my home life. When I wake up I have the day to myself and I always make the most of the time off. 

The biggest benefit for me are the opportunities available and the chance to get on in my career.

The opportunities for self-development, coupled with support from colleagues and managers are among the reasons I love my job so much. My career has developed rapidly, from starting as an assembler/loader, to then becoming a trainer and working with new people. I am now a service coordinator managing different departments in the distribution centre.

It feels more like being part of a family than just a team, from the moment I started on my first day to where I am now.
